Sexuality: Heterosexual

Appearance: Dib is short. That's typical, since he's a kid. However, what's not typical is his enormous head. Seriously, he has a really big head. He also has weird hair. It's black and short for the most part, except for a giant lock that looks like a giant, swept-back antenna. He likes to wear dark clothes, big black boots, and black trench coats, probably because he thinks it makes him look like the MIB or something.

Personality: “Paranoid” is an understatement. He subscribes to every paranormal conspiracy out there, and he obsessively searches for evidence to support his wacko theories. If you don't agree with him, then you are either a) stupid and ignorant, or b) one of THEM! Needless to say, he doesn't make friends very easily, which causes him to become even more resentful towards his peers because he blames it all on their inferior intellects.

That being said, Dib is a genius. He's smarter than most adults, but he devotes most of his intelligence to paranormal investigation, so no one takes him seriously. Dib is also very observant and clever, but he has a tendency to over-analyze things. He is also prone to random bouts of exceedingly poor grammar, especially when he's excited. He blames it on his mouth being unable to keep up with his lightning-fast brain.

Once Dib gets passionate about an issue, he will stubbornly pursue his goal no matter what, even to the point of bodily harm. Well, not quite, but he'll pull off some pretty risky moves. He also has a dry, albeit occasionally bizarre, sense of humor. This reflects that, despite his rampant paranoia, Dib is actually quite level-headed. If he can see something is obviously a hoax, he won't buy into it for a second and will even go out of his way to disprove it.

Abilities/Weaponry: Dib is very smart and can think his way out of many problems. He also knows rudimentary combat skills, thanks to some training by the Swollen Eyeball, a super-secret paranormal investigation association. But he's a kid, so he's not terribly strong or fast.

Additionally, Dib has many gadgets, most of which he made himself. The ones he carried on his person when he enters Paixao are:

Laptop: Dib has heavily customized his laptop. It can perform rudimentary field analyses of foreign substances and provide live video-phone communication, as well as more typical computer functions.

X-goggles: These goggles allow Dib to essentially have x-ray vision and see the nasty insides of people.

Digital camera: For taking pictures of Zim's alien base!!

Weaknesses: Dib's biggest weakness is his ego. When he gets too cocky, he gets careless and makes stupid mistakes. And, as mentioned above, he can over-analyze things and make them more difficult than they need to be. Oftentimes there's an easy solution that he's too busy being clever to see.

History: Dib lives in a typical suburban setting. His father, Professor Membrane, is a famous scientist and where he got his intelligence. His sister Gaz doesn't seem to share their brains, but perhaps she just chooses not to express it. Even though Dib has obsessed over paranormal investigation ever since he was a little kid, he'd never actually come in contact with an alien until he happened to overhear the Irken broadcast of Impending Doom 2. Because of it, he was ready for the invasion, which took place in the form of one little Irken and his malfunctioning robot.

Dib immediately recognized Zim as an alien, and ever since has attempted to capture Zim and turn him in to the government. Unfortunately, things never seem to quite go his way, though he's successfully thwarted all of Zim's nefarious plans so far, and even had to work with his arch-enemy at some points to conquer even bigger threats, such as the female Irken Tak. That doesn't mean he enjoyed it, though, and he and Zim are still constantly trying to kill each other.

One night, Dib sneaked into Zim's base by using his invisibility belt to sneak past the security gnomes. He was trying to find the secret switch that opened the passage to Zim's underground laboratory when suddenly a secret door swung open behind him. Dib turned, expecting Zim to jump out at him, when suddenly there was a flash of blinding light... and the next thing he knew, he was outside Paixao.
